Queen Anana Harris Parris
Anana Harris Parris is the Director of Operations and Community Affairs for the Davis Bozeman Law Firm, founder of the AfriSalsa Cultural Organization, the AfriSalsa fights HIV/AIDS Campaign, the SisterCARE Alliance and the Self Care Day Campaign. As the Director of Operations and Community Affairs, Ms. Parris overseas all internal operations, the internship program and the Community Affairs Division. Ms. Parris is responsible for organizing collaborative community projects such as: “Respect Black Life: I am Trayvon Martin March” of over 5000 marchers from Atlanta University Center to the CNN Center, “Remembrance March for Charleston Victims”, the Self Care Matters Tour and the New Beginnings Re-entry Mentoring Program in partnership with the Urban League, Morehouse School of Medicine and the U.S. Attorney General’s Office of Northern District of Georgia.
Anana Harris Parris, born in Washington D.C., was raised by culturally rich and socially active parents from New Roads and Jennings, Louisiana who encouraged success in her career and community as a priority. While living in Washington D.C. as a student at Howard University, Ms. Parris worked as the Implementation and Marketing Coordinator for an international telecommunications company called Swisscom North America where she learned the art of Marketing and internal workflow implementation. Ms. Parris also coordinated a monthly socio-political discussion and dance event titled “The Community Gatherings” and began a dance career as a performing member of the Balafon West African Dance Ensemble. Ms. Parris forged a consulting career grounded in community conscious business enhancement. Ms. Parris accepted an offer to become the Chief Operating Officer and co-owner of the GTM Agency in June of 2000 in Atlanta, Ga. Ms. Parris established the operating structure of the startup company as well as the logistic operational design for their largest account, a 26 city national promotion of the Truth™ anti-tobacco campaign. Through the Truth Campaign, she was able to learn the power and technique of cause based brand marketing, innovative business plan modeling and gained invaluable experience with multilevel operations management.

As a result of her many years of volunteering and community service, Ms. Parris was selected as a delegate to represent the City of Atlanta at the Global Peace Foundation’s Annual Conference and has also received several awards. Ms. Parris was awarded the Unsung Heroine Award of 2012 by the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., the Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Community Service Award, The Soul Dance & Artist Grief Advocate Award from Project Karma, Inc. and the U.S. Attorney General’s Office Community Outreach Award of 2014. In March of 2016, Ms. Parris was honored at the Georgia State Capitol and awarded to he title of Goodwill Ambassador for the State of Georgia for her work around community affairs, self-care and cross cultural education. Ms. Parris has most recently been one of the lead activists and organizations in the Atlanta based Black Mama Bail Out Coalition.
It is through her passion for her community, key involvement with socially impactful organizations like the Davis Bozeman Law Firm and the prayers of her great grandparents that propel Ms. Parris forward. She is supported and loved by her family and her son, Zaiire Jasiri Dean Parris.
