King D'vante Black

Atlanta native, Frederick Dvante Black, is a multi-talented, Grammy nominated Mastering Engineer. Raised in the city of Atlanta, Dvante’s passion for music began at an early age. He began, like so many, singing and dancing while attending the North Atlanta School for the Performing Arts. Dvante first became interested in the various other aspects of the genre, including writing and vocal production. Although his childhood wasn't as great as most because of numerous living transitions from over 30 foster homes, 5 shelters and 3 group homes before the age of 12 years old, he made sure that he put all his energy into what he loved which was THE ART OF MUSIC.

Having been a part of the recording industry now for over 15 years, he worked for Soul Asylum Studios Group for 2 1/2 years. Now independent, Dvante continues to hone his skills and focus on his Imprint (DvanteBlackMastering, LLC) which has been a growing success as he has worked with numerous highly notable recording studios and artists in the Greater Atlanta Area and his clients expand from all over from the USA to the UK. Some credits include, but are not limited to: Verse Simmonds, Yung Joc, Rocko, Future, Sammie, MIGOS, 2 Chainz, Jeremih, Maino, Audio Push, Cap-1, ASAP, Ferg, Final Draft, and Meelah (of 702). His hashtag #loud_doesnt_mean_mastered is the filter in which he produces quality work and puts, as he would say, that “black”ness touch on it.
An advocate for equality for his communities and other foster care children, when Dvante isn’t working on music projects, he plans events and fundraisers to help kids who have a passion for music and the arts - which isn’t always when everyone else is doing it. He has been an active participant and sponsor for numerous celebrity events in which funds are raised to purchase school supplies, clothes. toys for students, and even a fundraiser for cancer research. Currently he is spearheading his 3rd annual shoe drive in the community that will take place on July 31st. His drive stems from his inspirations that he received from his late mother, adopted mother Rev. Araminta Lett, and others who were willing to help him to become the man that he is today. Because of such love from such mentors, he believes it is his duty to help others.

Other accomplishments include serving as the Entertainment and Lifestyle Director for B.O.S.S. magazine, a magazine that focuses on highlighting the success of today’s young minority leaders.
